Start with what the computer is doing (or not doing). From there, I match it with the right repair, and tell you up front if it’s worth fixing or better to replace. Theres a reason why people only call once a year. when we fix it, we fix it.

Think you're in the middle of a scam right now?

If someone is telling you to call a number, pay immediately, or give remote access — stop. I’ve put together immediate steps to secure your system.

Common problems I fix

Buying a new computer? Let me help you choose it.

Not all new computers are created equal. Two systems that look similar online can perform very differently depending on storage type, memory configuration, and overall build quality.

What I offer:

  • Clear recommendations based on your real-world needs
  • Help comparing models before you buy
  • Guidance to avoid underpowered or overpriced systems
  • Full setup and data transfer after purchase

Sometimes a $700 machine is smarter than a $1,200 one. The goal isn’t to sell you something — it’s to make sure you buy it once and buy it right.

“My computer is really slow.”

Long start-up times, spinning circles, taking forever to open programs, or freezing randomly.

Typical solutions:

  • Deep clean-up and tune-up
  • Checking for failing drives and errors
  • Upgrading to SSD/NVMe storage
  • Checking temps and thermal paste

See pricing >

“It won’t turn on at all.”

Press the power button and nothing happens, or it clicks on and off, or only lights up for a second.

Typical solutions:

  • Power supply testing/replacement
  • Motherboard and CPU diagnostics
  • Short-circuit checks after spills or damage

See pricing >

“It turns on, but acts weird.”

Random shut-downs, restarts, fans racing, or errors when you try to play games or run programs.

Typical solutions:

  • Hardware stress testing
  • RAM and GPU diagnostics
  • BIOS updates and stability tuning

See pricing >

“I might have a virus or got scammed.”

Pop-ups, fake alerts, strange charges, or someone remote-controlled your screen.

Typical solutions:

  • Full system backup where possible
  • Fresh, clean Windows install
  • Account password and security checkup

I normally don’t “band-aid” virus infections – a clean install is usually safer and more reliable.

“I bought a new computer and need everything moved.”

New system, but all your programs, emails, and files are still on the old one.

Typical solutions:

  • Data transfer from the old system
  • Program setup (where possible)
  • Email and printer configuration

See pricing >

“I just need my files back.”

Old computer, failing drive, or a system that won’t boot but you need photos, documents, or QuickBooks data.

Typical solutions:

  • Drive removal and direct recovery attempts
  • File copy to external drive or new PC
  • Options if the drive is failing or damaged

Upgrades & custom builds

Upgrading an existing PC

If the rest of the system is solid, upgrading a few key parts can add years of life.

Common upgrades:

  • Hard drive to SSD/NVMe for speed
  • More RAM for multitasking
  • Better graphics card for gaming or design
  • Power supply replacements

I’ll tell you honestly if the upgrade makes sense, or if your money is better put toward a new system.

Custom-built desktop PCs

For gaming, content creation, or just a solid long-lasting machine, I build desktops from quality parts.

What’s included:

  • Parts list planning based on your budget and needs
  • Assembly, cable management, and testing
  • Windows install and basic setup

Networking, Wi-Fi & Remote Help

House calls (on-site help)

Some problems are easier to fix in your home — especially Wi-Fi dead zones, printers, new computer setups, or anything you don’t want to unplug and haul across town.

Good for:

  • Wi-Fi issues, router/mesh setup, and internet dropouts
  • Printer setup and device connections
  • New computer setup + data transfer basics
  • Small office/home office troubleshooting

On-site availability depends on location and schedule. I’ll confirm service area and policies when you book.

Home & small office networking

If your internet drops, Wi-Fi doesn’t reach part of the house, or devices keep disconnecting, I can help set things up correctly.

Services include:

  • Router and modem setup
  • Mesh Wi-Fi installation
  • Wired Ethernet drops and terminations
  • Basic point-to-point (line-of-sight) links

Remote support sessions

For certain issues, I can connect to your computer securely over the internet and help without you leaving home.

Good for:

  • Software issues and settings
  • Email and printer configuration
  • Basic training and “how do I…” questions

Remote support is billed the same as in-shop bench time, with a short minimum.

What I don’t work on

Knowing what I don’t do is just as important as knowing what I do. I’d rather tell you up front than waste your time or money.

  • Apple / Mac repairs (hardware or software)
  • Cell phone or tablet screen repairs
  • Liquid damage data recovery miracles with no chance of success

If you’re not sure whether your situation fits what I do, just call or text and ask. I’ll tell you honestly if I’m not the right fit and point you in a better direction if I can.

Not sure which service you need?

You don’t have to know the name of the problem. Just describe what it’s doing in your own words – I’ll translate that into a plan, with clear pricing before any work starts.

First — breathe.

You don’t make good decisions when you’re panicked. Take one breath. Now let’s fix this.

  1. If someone is on the phone telling you what to do — hang up.
  2. Press and hold the power button on your computer until it goes black.
  3. Take a second.
  4. If they keep calling — do not answer.
  5. If needbe turn that phone off also.
  6. Do not send money. Do not give passwords.

Once you're calm, call or text me, if you can from another number. We’ll walk through what actually happened and secure everything properly.
